FOR HIKERS and If you have more time: park your car at either the Vikaköngäs or Vaattunkiköngäs parking lot, and go to admire the hiking trails of both nearby waterfalls, which are part of the Arctic Circle camping area. The camping area has several routes and many camping structures.

For example, the 4.5 km Vaattunkivaara nature trail, which is a circular route, starts from the Vikaköngäs suspension bridge.

You can also go on the Könkäiden polku path, 10km/way, which connects these two most beautiful rapids of Raudanjoki; Vikaköngäs and Vaattunkiköngäs. When starting the trail from Vikakönkäs, the route first crosses Vaattunkivaara, then follows Raudanjoki on its south side and leads to the wonderful Könkäänsaari through the Kivalonaava veined culture heritage site. The route is classified as moderately demanding, but is well equipped.
