Aeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery is Buenos Aires' domestic airport. It is conveniently located in Palermo right on the riverfront (Costanera Norte). It is much small and easier to navigate than Ezeiza. With its ease and it's proximity to your hotel, I highly recommend booking as many flights out of AEP as humanly possible, avoiding Ezeiza except for those unavoidable long-haul flights home.
✈How much time? If you're checking luggage and need an agent, I'd give yourself a lot of time, just in case. 2 hours is good to be on the safe side. You just don't know how things can go in Argentina sometimes. If you have your online check in completed and are flying carry-on only, you can really cut it close with an hour early, that's usually what we do and have been fine. But of course, more time is always better if you're concerned.
✈Airport lounges in AEP: There are two AMAE Lounges, one in national departures and another landside between departures and arrivals. You can use Priority Pass to gain access.
👨👩👦👦 Aeroparque with kids? There are free strollers to use as well as mini Amarok push cars for them to be carted around the airport in. We always go to a play area between gates 14 and 15. There are plastic toys with slides for babies and very small toddlers as well as a wall with Montessori style games. There are changing tables in the bathrooms between the men's and women's room so either parent can take charge there.
Like all airports in Argentina, families with babies and small toddlers have priority in lines for checking, security, immigration, and boarding.
