Message from Erin Mushaway

The Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Buenos Aires is one of two Eastern Orthodox churches in Buenos Aires. This beautiful church in San Telmo on Plaza Lezama. Built in 1901 with funds donated by Russia, it Neo-Byzantine and Neo-Russian styles, complete with five blue onion domes and intricate murals.

Visiting inside is complicated, with guided tours offered one day a month. The day is announced the month before and spots go fast. You can also visit during services, photos are not allowed during services.
