Nyhavn is a 17th-century waterfront, canal and entertainment district in Copenhagen.
This is our old neighborhood. And this is in our opinion a place where you get the essence of what Copenhagen is all about. Stroll the colorful waterfront street or take a break at one of the charming restaurants on the strip.
Today Nyhavn is a cultural hotspot but back in the days this was an area you did not want to find yourself after sunset. The brutal fishermen ruled the harbor and were known to be quite harsh.
We have great love for this place and you can not visit Copenhagen without visiting Nyhavn.
A Little local secret is that you are allowed to bring your own beer and enjoy it on the shore of the harbor, free of charge. This is because you are welcome to drink on the street in Denmark.
