The Eiger Trail in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland is an all-time favorite hike for visitors. It follows the dramatic north face of the iconic Eiger mountain and offers jaw dropping views across the Lauterbrunnen Valley to Mürren and Grindelwald. This point-to-point hike is mostly a downhill walk with a moderate incline in the end that can be easily hiked in 2 to 3 hours. On a clear day, the views of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau are unbeatable.
In fall, the shadows can be long and dark under the Eiger. So better to do this hike in the afternoon if possible.
Hike: Moderate • 2.5 h • 6 k • 60m up, 750m down
