If you've ever done a Google image search for "Copenhagen," the first thing that popped up was probably pictures of Nyhavn (pronounced "NEW-how-n")! The colorful canal in the city center is absolutely iconic and definitely worth stopping by, even if just to take some pictures! There are many restaurants on Nyhavn and they seem extremely cozy (I haven't personally eaten at any of the al fresco options), but be aware that they are very expensive and generally regarded as tourist traps. If you want a great meal on/close to Nyhavn, I HIGHLY recommend Goldfinch, or Apollo Bar for something more casual. Personally, I'm a big fan of the ice cream shop Vaffelbageren, too -- it's expensive for what it is, but I LOVE the softice on a Belgian waffle! I've also heard good things about Esmee and Fiat. During Christmas, there is always a cozy Christmas market along Nyhavn, so be sure to stop by if you're here during that season!
