Message from João Petersen

Victoria Park in Nuwara Eliya is a charming urban park located next to the post office. Established in 1897 to celebrate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, it was originally part of Hakgala Botanical Garden. Visitors can enjoy the picturesque Nanu Oya river, rare bird species, and even a small children's playground. It's a great spot to relax, take a leisurely stroll, or simply soak up the natural beauty of the area.
