What you’ll do

This 4 day long itinerary is perfect for those who have already been to some of the most well-known spots in Dolomites. This guide will show you a few other places worth visiting.

It's good for families with kids, too. Like with our other itineraries, the difficulty and "rush factor" are all up to you. The hikes mentioned here offer other alternatives in case you're too tired or don't feel like hiking too much.

We also offer a few alternatives in case you have extra time or want to change your plans a bit.

Important: Dolomites are best explored when you have your own transportation (car or van). It's very hard to organise everything properly when you rely on public transport since it's not very regular and doesn't go to to all the places.

We'll start our first day exploring town Cortina d'Ampezzo. It's old city is a lovely place to spend a morning and get a cup of coffee before adventuruous day. Explore stunning architecture of the most renowned ski resort in Dolomites.

From Cortina it's not far to Passo Falzarego. It's a breath-taking mountain pass full of curves and unbelievable views. At the highest point of Passo Falzarego there's also Passo Falzarego mountain hut. In case you want to energize before the hike, this is the perfect spot.

Time for the first hike of your Dolomites adventure. And it will be a hike you will not forget easily. The path to Lagazuoi will take you through tunnels built directly in the mountain! Sounds crazy, doesn't it? In case you don't feel like hiking take a cable car up to the top.

Then it is completely up to you whether you feel like spending a night at Rifugio Lagazuoi or want to come back down and camp at Passo Falzarego. There are various mountain huts that will be available to accomodate you right on the Passo Falzarego, too.

If you decide to return back to Passo Falzarego you can also take a stroll to Lago Limides. It only takes 20 minutes. It's a good place for sunset, but so is the Passo Falzarego itself.

NOTE: We planned a hike to Cinque Torri passing Lago Limides for you on day 2. In case you already visit Lago Limides, you can adjust the plan on day 2 (more in info about day 2).
