Lagazuoi is very different compared to a typical hike. The path leads through many tunnels built in the mountain. It's an unforgetable adventure.

Hike description From Passo Falzarego follow the path 402. After a bit of strenuous ascent you will reach a crossroad. Go to the left for the trail leading through tunnels. To the right there is a classical hiking path.

This whole hike should take you around 90 minutes. Tunnels are also very educative and you'll find a lot of interesting information at the boards. There is a very picturesque mountain hut at the top - Rifugio Lagazuoi. Consider spending a night here to capture the sunset and sunrise. The price is around 52€ per person in a dorm room. Take a look at accomodation options at Rifugio Lagazuoi at this website. The views there are otherwordly. You can also climb up to the Piccolo Lagazuoi summit for more views.

The path going down might be a bit challenging for unexperienced hikers. Some sections are exposed and secured with via ferrata cableways. For your safety you can also pack a via ferrata set. That is not necessary.

There is also cable car going up to Lagazuoi. More information here.

Tips Don't forget to bring helmet, gloves and torch for the tunnels. Book your stay in advance if you want to spend a night at Rifugio Lagazuoi. Especially during the main season.
