The Writers' Museum is one of the most popular museums in Edinburgh. Located just off the Royal Mile, it celebrates the lives of three giants of Scottish Literature—Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott and Robert Louis Stevenson.
Visitors to the museum can learn about the writers through their portraits, manuscripts, and rare books, as well as explore personal items like Burns' writing desk, the rocking horse Scott used as a child, Stevenson's riding boots, and the ring given to him by a Samoan chief.
It's also a stunning part of Edinburgh, so even if you aren't going in, be sure to enjoy where it's located as you may recognise it from many photos of the city!
