Cortina d'Ampezzo, a charming town in the heart of the Italian Alps, is a popular upscale resort known for its skiing, stunning scenery, and vibrant après-ski scene. With a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages, Cortina has been under various rulers before becoming part of Italy in 1920. Today, it thrives on tourism, especially during the winter season when the population swells. Hosting the Winter Olympics in 1956 and set to co-host in 2026, Cortina is also home to cultural attractions like museums and serves as a backdrop for famous films like The Pink Panther. We loved walking around this town and having dinner!
