Honke Owariya Main Branch is a historic Kyoto restaurant that has been serving up delicious soba noodles and sweets since 1465. Originally a confectionery shop, it expanded to include soba noodles in the early 18th century, with orders coming in from the Imperial Family and Zen Temples. Located south of the Imperial Palace, this cozy spot doesn't take reservations but offers a taste of traditional Japanese cuisine that's worth the wait. Don't miss their signature Soba-ita Crunch Chocolate or Buckwheat Energy Balls for a unique treat!

Honke Owariya Main Branch is one of the oldest Soba noodle shop in Japan.
