Christchurch, located in the South Island of New Zealand, is a vibrant city known for its English-inspired architecture and lush green spaces, earning it the nickname "Garden City." With a population of around 396,200 people, Christchurch boasts a mix of urban and rural areas, including satellite towns like Rangiora and Rolleston. Established as a British colonial settlement in the mid-19th century, the city has a rich history dating back to prehistoric Māori occupation. Despite facing challenges like devastating earthquakes in 2010 and 2011, Christchurch continues to thrive as a hub for technology-based industries and Antarctic exploration.
