Waterfall

Message from Cassadvantures

As I mentioned in my Lake Waikaremoana description, getting to this area is a bit of a mission long, windy, and on a gravel road, so be prepared for that. Plus, there’s no reception, so it’s a good idea to download a map before heading out.
Getting to Aniwaniwa Falls is super easy, though. From the Waikaremoana Holiday Park, just follow the road for about 2-5 minutes, and just before you go over the bridge, pull over onto the left shoulder of the road. There’s a big gravel area to park. You’ll spot some toilets and a few buildings on your right. Once parked, take the trail on the left side (the same side you parked on) and follow it for about 5 minutes. The falls will be right there. I know it sounds confusing, but trust me, it’s straightforward once you’re on the ground. The waterfall is beautiful, and chances are, you’ll have it all to yourself.
