While in Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park, make sure to check out the Enchanted Walk. It was a perfect break for me between the longer hikes, allowing me to slow down and soak in the park’s beauty. This short and easy stroll takes you through enchanting forests, with moss-covered trees and a peaceful creek alongside you. It was on this walk that I spotted my first wombat in Tassie, and it was incredibly friendly and cute. I also encountered two echidnas, so keep your eyes peeled for the magical wildlife this area is known for. The walk is a relaxed 20-minute journey that lets you enjoy the tranquillity of nature at a leisurely pace. Whether you're craving a quick nature fix or just want a gentle amble, the Enchanted Walk offers a charming glimpse into the Tasmanian wilderness.
