Activity 100% recommended if you go to Malargüe and like adventure! You will not see anything like it, it is a unique and amazing landscape! ⁣ It is the second time I have visited and each time it was special and different.

The road to the volcano is 42 km from Malargüe, half paved and half gravel, in sections there are "saws" but it is easy to get there by going slowly. You can go by private vehicle, but it is also mandatory to reserve and pay for tickets in advance at the Aires de Libertad agency ($8,300 per person per month of June). Once at the volcano, you must pay the mandatory guide service of $4,000 per person. Retirees, children under 12 years of age and disabled people have other rates.⁣ It is recommended to bring water, sunscreen, glasses and the use of appropriate footwear (without smooth soles), long pants and long sleeves is mandatory. ⁣ They recommend leaving an hour and a half before your shift. ⁣

The trekking has a medium difficulty and lasts approximately two and a half hours.⁣ It is a path between gullies, and when you climb it you have a view of Payunia, the European DS3 antenna and the Llancanelo Lagoon. It really is amazing, it's worth it. ⁣ There are bathrooms and a pantry where you can reserve lunch and have it ready at the end of the excursion. They also sell crafts. ⁣
