Message from João Petersen

Independence Memorial Hall, also known as Independence Commemoration Hall, is a national monument in Sri Lanka that celebrates the country's independence from British rule in 1948. Located in Colombo's Cinnamon Gardens, it features a statue of the first prime minister, Don Stephen Senanayake, and serves as a venue for national celebrations and events. Designed by a group of architects, the building's design is inspired by the Royal audience hall of the Kingdom of Kandy. It has been featured on TV shows like The Amazing Race and has hosted significant events like presidential oaths ceremonies and funerals of prominent figures.
