The Nallur Kandaswamy Devasthanam, located in Nallur, is a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Murugan. Originally founded in 948 CE, the present temple was constructed in 1734 and has undergone various renovations over the years. With its ornate architecture, multiple shrines, and annual festivals, the temple holds significant social and cultural importance for the Sri Lankan Tamil community. Recently, new Raja Gopurams have been added, enhancing the temple's grandeur and attracting more devotees.
