The Kintaikyo Bridge in Iwakuni is a stunning wooden bridge that has been a beloved landmark for centuries. With its five bold arches and massive stone pillars, it crosses over the Nishiki River in an elegant fashion. Originally built in 1673, the bridge collapsed in 1950 but was faithfully reconstructed by determined locals in 1953. Visitors can walk across the bridge for a fee and enjoy its beauty day or night when it's lit up until 22:00.
