The Ushiku Daibutsu is a massive statue located in Ushiku, Japan. Standing at 120 meters tall, including the base and platform, it's one of the tallest statues in the world. Visitors can take an elevator up to an observation floor inside the statue, which depicts Amitabha Buddha. The statue was built to honor Shinran, the founder of the Jōdo Shinshū school of Buddhism. Inside, there's a museum with different levels showcasing various aspects of Buddhist teachings and history. It's definitely a sight to see if you're ever in the area!
