Recommended : You can purchase a Tokyo subway Pass (24, 48 or 72 hours options) based on the number of consecutive days you decide to spend in the city. With this itinerary we recommend the 72 hour one.
Alternatively, you could use a Suica card (Physical or via the Apple wallet on your phone) to tap on and off at each station. This is also useful for areas not covered by the Tokyo subway.
You could also use the JR line for your travel in Tokyo if you are already purchasing the JR Pass to travel across Japan (if this is ideal based on your complete itinerary).
The last option would be to purchase paper ticket at each station you travel from. This could be more time consuming, inconvenient and expensive compared to tapping the Suica card.

There are so many things to try! We loved Ningyoyaki, mechi katsu and kuroge. Generally it is a bit pricey vs the other places you'll be visiting but worth trying the unique things, we've listed some ideas below:
