The Sintra National Palace is an iconic landmark nestled in the picturesque village of Sintra, Portugal. This historic palace boasts a blend of styles, ranging from Gothic and Manueline to Islamic and Mudéjar. Its history reaches as far back as the early Middle Ages, when it served as both a castle and Moorish palace. It has since been expanded with numerous buildings which surround its main courtyard, initially built by King John I, and later by King Manuel I, resulting in the grandiose style seen today. The palace now houses a museum where visitors can explore its rich history and marvel at its many cultural influences.
