The Colosseum is a massive ancient amphitheatre in Rome, Italy, built by the Flavian dynasty around AD 80. It could hold up to 80,000 spectators and was used for gladiatorial contests, animal hunts, and other spectacles. Despite being partially ruined over time, it's still a famous symbol of Imperial Rome and a top tourist spot. Plus, it's even featured on the Italian 5 euro cent coin!
