Blockley is a charming village set amidst the beauty of the Cotswold Hills in Gloucestershire. With its mostly untouched lanes and pretty stone houses, Blockley oozes with character. In the past, it was an important centre for the Silk industry, with silk mills powered by the brook that runs through the middle of the village. For movie fans, Blockley also has the distinction of being feature in the original Father Brown television series - with St Peter and St Paul's Church standing in for the show’s fictional St Mary's Church and the vicarage doubling up as Father Brown’s residence. Visitors will relish the opportunity to explore this quaint village and discover its many attractions. From the Cotswold Falconry Centre and Batsford Arboretum to Little Oak Vineyard and Court Barn Museum, there's truly something for everyone.
