Bradford-on-Avon is a quaint town located in Wiltshire, England, near the border of Somerset. It has a population of 10,405 and is full of history and charm. There are many historic 17th century buildings with facades made of Bath stone which were constructed during the time of the English woollen textile industry's prosperity. The town features an array of religious sites, such as St Laurence’s Church, Holy Trinity Church, and a Roman Catholic church. Visitors can explore its canal, leisure activities, shops, pubs and restaurants, making it popular for tourists. The Avon river runs through, providing power to the wool mills that once supported the economy. In 1998, Bradford-on-Avon was awarded Fairtrade Town status, and it continues to be a successful and vibrant place to visit.
