The 44 South Military Village Building D park is a hidden gem in Taipei that offers a unique and off-the-beaten-path experience. This small park is located behind the iconic Taipei 101 and is filled with retro buildings and colorful doors that will transport you back in time. The village was originally built for Nationalist soldiers from Mainland China in the 1940s, and although many houses have been demolished, some still remain and have been transformed into an art center, café, and store. It's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in the history and charm of old Taipei.
