Victoria Street in Edinburgh is a charming ribbon of cascading cobblestones that brings together historical sites, independent shops, and colorful architecture. Built between 1829-1834 by architect Thomas Hamilton, the street was originally designed to replace West Bow - a zig-zag street of frightful steepness - and has become an iconic part of Edinburgh's landscape. Today, you'll find everything from Old Town Bookshop, I.J Mellis Cheesemonger, Swish, and Red Door Gallery to Aha Ha Ha - filled with costumes, props, and card tricks - and Diagon House. Add to this the legend of Major Weir - famously known as The Wizard of the West Bow - and images of Hogwarts come to life. There's much to marvel at and discover on Victoria Street, making it an enjoyable place to explore and be inspired by.
