Historic neoclassical Parisian fountain

Message from The Wanderbug

The Fontaine de Mars, also known as the Fontaine du Gros-Caillou, is a neoclassical gem in Paris's 7th arrondissement. Built between 1806 and 1809, this fountain survived the 1910 flood, with a plaque on the fountain marking where the floodwaters reached. I just think this is a very picturesque spot in Paris, a lovely photospot - and the restaurant, Le Fontain de Mars, behind it, is well regarded.
