Bukhara, a city in Uzbekistan, has a rich history dating back thousands of years. It was a major center of trade, scholarship, culture, and religion along the Silk Road. Known for its architectural monuments and as the birthplace of Imam Bukhari, Bukhara has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With a population of around 280,000, it continues to be a vibrant and historically significant city in Central Asia.
