Kerlingarfjöll Hot Spring, located in the Icelandic highlands east of Kjölur and between Langjökull and Hofsjökull Glaciers, is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. This thermal mineral pool is accessed by a 1.5 km/0.9-mile trail from the Kerlingarfjoll Mountain Resort and offers enough space to fit up to 15 people. The water ranges in temperature from 34-37 °C/93-98 °F and visitors should bring dry bags to keep their clothing free from moisture. For those hoping to stay in the area, Highland Base at Kerlingarfjöll will soon have standard hotel rooms, deluxe rooms, a campsite, base lodges, and A-frame huts with full amenities. Soak in the hot spring and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Icelandic highlands!
