Message from Aron Tómas Guðmannsson

The Sea Life Trust Beluga Whale Sanctuary, also known as Sæheimar Aquarium, is an incredible place that provides a safe and natural home for beluga whales. It was created with the help of Merlin Entertainments and Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) to give these beautiful creatures a better life. The sanctuary not only cares for its resident whales, Little Grey and Little White, but also conducts research and education to advance knowledge about these amazing animals. By leading the way in sanctuary care, they hope to inspire others to consider this alternative for the thousands of whales and dolphins currently living in traditional facilities or performing in shows. It's a truly special place that is making a big difference in the lives of these incredible creatures.
