Arriving in the heart of Ravello, the entrance to Villa Rufolo immediately appears, a splendid villa overlooking the water, built in the 13th century by the Rufolo family.

Admission costs 7 euros and allows you to look out onto the wonderful gardens from which you can admire postcard views.

Located in the heart of Ravello, Amalfi Coast, Italy, Villa Rufolo is a renowned 12th century villa. With a rich and storied past, the iconic villa has welcomed Boccaccio, King Robert II of Naples and other Norman royalty. What makes it so special today are its exquisite gardens and expansive views that have enchanted visitors such as Sir Francis Neville Reid and Richard Wagner, who famously exclaimed “I have discovered Klingsor’s garden”. Visitors can join one of the musical concerts performed on a jutting out stage over the Mediterranean Sea. To experience the magical quality of the villa and explore its Moorish towers and cloister, come to Villa Rufolo and be enchanted by its grandeur.
