Zeeland is a quaint and very quaint province in the southwest, bordered by the North Sea to the west and the provinces of South Holland and North Brabant to the east. Known for its long coastline, beautiful beaches, and picturesque towns divided over several islands, reachable by car.
It's the perfect region for a beach holiday, to cycle through the quaint Dutch countryside to several islands, which are all connected. Or go for a boattrip on one of the many lakes here.
The capital of Zeeland is Middelburg, and the province is home to many historic sites, including the Delta Works, a series of dams and dikes that protect the area from flooding.
Zeeland is also known for its seafood, particularly mussels and oysters, which should not be missed one of the many restaurants and sunny terraces!
