Located in Reykjavík, Iceland, the Icelandic Phallological Museum is home to the world's largest display of penises and related parts from over 300 different species. Founded in 1997 by retired schoolteacher Sigurður Hjartarson, the museum houses a collection of specimen which range from the 170 cm (67 in) front tip of a blue whale penis to the 2 mm (0.08 in) baculum of a hamster, as well as mythical folklore penises. It has become a popular tourist destination, having attracted thousands of visitors each year, and has even been the subject of a Canadian documentary film.
