We almost skipped Kanazawa, but wow, are we glad we didn’t!

We loved exploring Shirakawago’s dreamy thatched-roof houses, wandering through Takayama’s charming old town, and hitting the slopes at Ichirino Sky Resort for a quieter, less touristy skiing and snowboarding experience.

Even if you stay in town, there’s so much to see, the stunning Kenrokuen Garden, Omicho Market, Kanazawa Castle and the Higashi Chaya Geisha District a must.

We can not recommend Kanzawa enough!
