If you like horses and would like to ride Icelandic horses, this is the itinerary for you! I will expand this itinerary more and more over the summer when trying out the different riding tours around the country.
Going for a ride on an Icelandic horse is an unforgettable experience. Icelandic horses are a lot smaller than regular horses, but they are very strong and have a few extra "gaits". So beside walk, trot and gallop, most of them can also do tölt and some even pace.
The tölt is an extremely smooth gait and quite easy to ride for beginners and experienced people.
Just remember that Icelandic horses are smaller than regular horses. They are strong, but their weight limit is usually about 100 kg / 220 lbs.
