The Kirby Café, one of the more difficult places to get into in Japan, is a whimsical and delightful dining experience inspired by the popular video game character, Kirby. With locations in Tokyo (notably at the base of the SkyTree Tower in a great plaza with a fun, fairly-large mall), Osaka, and Hakata, guests can enjoy themed dishes, desserts, and drinks in a colorful and playful atmosphere - if they can secure a reservation.
The booking system, like most good things in Japan, opens months in advance, and you may need to pay someone on Fiverr to secure you a spot. However, if you can't get a reservation and are a huge fan (like my boys are), you can always opt for take-away like we did. From cute character-themed sweets to limited-time seasonal menus, the café offers a fun and tasty way to immerse yourself in the world of Kirby, and don't forget to check out their merchandise store for some adorable souvenirs!
