The cobblestoned streets of Ninenzaka, and Sannenzaka to be at the top of your list on your Kyoto stop.

During the day, it’s super busy, but if you go early in the morning, it’s almost empty, a totally different vibe that’s worth experiencing.

We loved wandering here, especially early when it was quiet. The food is amazing too, so definitely come hungry!

Just a heads-up, the streets can get crowded fast, so plan your visit accordingly.

This street makes its way to Matsubara Dori, making it the main route to Kiyomizu Temple.

So if you start at the bottom of the hill, this section is hard to miss.
