Greenmount Beach, located in Coolangatta on Queensland's Gold Coast, is a popular spot for beach lovers and surfers alike. Home to the Tweed Heads & Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club and Greenmount Beach Surf Club, this beach offers stunning views and a relaxed atmosphere. The beach is protected by shark nets, but in September 2020, a tragic incident occurred when a man was fatally bitten by a shark while surfing. Overall, Greenmount Beach is a beautiful destination with a mix of natural beauty and water activities for visitors to enjoy.
