Fes el-Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Fez, Morocco, is an exciting destination for travelers from all over the world. The city is home to an impressive collection of Islamic monuments, ranging from mosques and zawiyas to tanneries and funduqs. Founded in 789 AD by the Idrisids, Fes el-Bali is brimming with ancient history, with many of its monuments dating to the medieval period. Visitors can explore the vibrant old medina, lined with shops and souks, and take in the view from one of the grand gates that lead into the walled city. With its ornate architecture, traditional artisans, flowing river, and colorful culture, it’s no wonder Fes el Bali has been luring visitors for centuries.
