The Waterworks is not your average park - it's the quirkiest spot in New Zealand with over 70 creative upcycled attractions powered by water, this place will make you feel like a kid again. Nestled in beautiful Coromandel bush, it's a fun place to explore with swimming holes, a huge water slide and beautiful walking tracks.

I will say that I found this attraction quite expensive and unless you're visiting in summer and have several hours to spend exploring and swimming at the waterhole I personally don't think it's worth it. I decided to include it anyway, as there's not many family attractions in the Coromandel and its still a fun place to explore with kids! Our 2 year old was still a little too young to really enjoy it when we went.
