The Morteratsch Glacier Walk is a fun, easy hike that's suitable for all ages and abilities.

The obstacle-free wide dirt path leads along through a forest filled with larch trees, taking you directly to the glacier ice tongue feeding the river.

There are educational signposts along the way with scientific info about the receding glacier and historical photos of the ice. Kids can pick up a free activity booklet, which they can stamp at various posts along the way.

Hike: Easy • 2 hours • 6 km out and back • 155m up & down

How to get there

Morteratsch train station is directly at the trail head. There is a large metered parking lot near the train station at Morteratsch 4, 7504 Pontresina.
