IT🇮🇹 L'Osservatorio Griffith, situato in cima al Monte Hollywood a Los Angeles è una destinazione da non perdere! Non solo offre una vista spettacolare della città e dell'area circostante (tra cui la famosa scritta Hollywood) ma funge anche da attrazione educativa che mette in mostra varie meraviglie astronomiche. La sera quando non è nuvoloso è possibile osservare il cielo attraverso i due famosi telescopi pubblici dell’osservatorio e da alcuni portatili nel prato davanti l’entrata principale. All’interno del Griffith Observatory si trova Big Picture, un’immagine digitale dell’universo con galassie e stelle, che ricopre un’intera parete, dal pavimento fino al soffitto. La terrazza dell'Osservatorio è il miglior punto panoramico da cui ammirare l'immensità della città di Los Angeles. L'ingresso è gratuito, il parcheggio auto (difficile da trovare soprattutto se al Greek Theater poco più sotto ci sono eventi) è a pagamento. In alternativa se optate per i mezzi pubblici c'è la navetta DASH che parte dalla fermata della metro rossa Vermont / Sunset Station.

EN🇬🇧 Griffith Observatory, located atop Mount Hollywood in Los Angeles is a must-see destination! It not only offers spectacular views of the city and surrounding area (including the famous Hollywood sign) but also serves as an educational attraction showcasing various astronomical wonders. In the evening if it is not cloudy, it is possible to observe the sky through the observatory's two famous public telescopes and from some portable instruments on the lawn in front of the main entrance. Inside Griffith Observatory is Big Picture, a digital image of the universe with galaxies and stars, which covers an entire wall from floor to ceiling. The Observatory's terrace is the best vantage point from which to view the immensity of the city of Los Angeles. Admission is free, car parking (difficult to find especially if there are events at the Greek Theater just below) is charged. Alternatively, if you opt for public transportation, there is the DASH shuttle that leaves from the red Vermont Metro / Sunset Station.
