The Vršič Pass in Slovenia is a must-visit on any road trip. It is the highest mountain pass in Slovenia, reaching 1611 meters at the top. It is a very windy road with its 50 hairpin turns and stunning alpine scenery.
Built by Russian prisoners of war, the pass offers a thrilling drive with cobblestone switchbacks and breathtaking views.
Make sure to stop at the hut on the top of Vršič for the best views and to try some typical Slovenian dishes.
