Lempuyan Temple, one of the oldest Balinese Hindu temples, is situated 2 hours from Ubud. Perched on Mount Lempuyan, the temple offers stunning views of Mount Agung on clear days. It is one of the most popular photo spots in Bali and gets really busy with long waiting lines of over 2 hours. I recommend coming here for sunrise at 6.30 am to take your own pictures without any crowds. When you show up later they have someone to take your pictures for you with a mirror (for a water effect) and you only get 2 minutes to pose.

On the way back down the hill, don't miss the photo viewpoint seen in the first image. This unique spot provides a great view of Mount Agung and is located on the left side on top of a building, before reaching the shuttle bus waiting area.
