The Segnespass hut was built by the Glärnisch fortress group shortly before the end of the Second World War in 1944. It served as mountain accommodation for the cannon and machine gun positions on the eastern flank of the Tschingelhörner. The mountain lodge is simple but offers a place too sleep for few people in one room. It's so beautifully quiet and you can enjoy a sunset with unique panorama. The food was delicious and they made me also some yummy vegan food :)

You can actually reach the hut from Elm or from Flims. I did the trip from Flims and truly loved the fantastic panorama. You can start your trip from the village but that takes you more than 5 hrs. I recommend you to check the time table depending what time of the year you want to visit. Naraus or Nagens are the best places to start your ascent and both routes take ca. 3 hrs.

Distance: 7.8km Duration: 3hrs Ascent: 788m Descent:0m
