The Jungfraujoch is the most popular destination in Switzerland next to Zermatt & Matterhorn. At 3,454m (11,332 ft), it’s the highest rail station in Europe with observation decks (indoor and outdoor) with big panorama views of famous peaks and the enormous Aletsch glacier.

It also has a variety of amusements, including a glacier cave, a snow fun park, multimedia tour of the history of this place, restaurants and gift shops.

This attraction is a good option for fall because it's always open. So if trails or other attractions close due to snowfall, you can still include this in your itinerary.

It's an expensive visit, but a bit less in fall than in summer high season. In October 2023, a round trip ticket from Grindelwald Terminal costs CHF 190/adult. You get a discount with the Jungfrau Travel Pass or Swiss Travel Pass.
