The Thai Hua Museum in Phuket Town is a must-see stop on any visit to the city. Located in a 1934 British-colonial style mansion, the museum helps visitors learn the story of how Chinese immigrants first arrived in Phuket. Inside the museum, guests can peruse displays filled with interesting historical artifacts and stories from the past centuries, such as clothing, tools, utensils, furniture, paintings, photographs, and documents. There is also an entire section dedicated to explaining the role of tin mining in the area’s history, as well as a scaled model ofa Sino-Portuguese shophouse.
