I know it may seem weird to recommend visiting a cemetery, but Assistens Cemetery in Nørrebro is not just your average burial site. Established in 1760, it started off as a place for the poor to rest in peace, but soon became the go-to spot for the city's elite during the Golden Age. Now, it's not only a final resting place for many Danish notables like Hans Christian Andersen and Søren Kierkegaard, but also a beautiful and popular green space to visit.
