Sangay is an active stratovolcano located in central Ecuador. It has a complex geological history, having been formed and destroyed by natural incidents such as massive flank collapses. Due to its isolated location, the volcano hosts a wealth of diverse wildlife and is protected as part of the Sangay National Park. It's currently not possible to climb it due to its active eruption state!
